What Is The Violet Flame?
A great deal of information has been circulated about Saint Germain and the Violet Flame, i.e., the writings of C.W. Leadbeater, Alice Baily, Benjamin Creme, Guy Ballard, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and others. An internet search also shows a few people who claim to be channeling Saint Germain. It is not my intent to either support or refute any of these writings. Rather, I would very simply try to explain what the Violet Flame means to me, and how I use it in my Reiki healings.

The Violet Flame is not new...although its name may be. It is an extremely powerful spiritual tool, released for use by all sentient beings through the sponsorship of Ascended Master Saint Germain in the 1930's. Saint Germain had, like all of us, many incarnations on this planet. One of his incarnations was as Joseph of Nazareth, Jesus' earthly father, and when I address Saint Germain in prayer, that is how I perceive him.

The Violet Flame is also known as "The Violet Flame of Forgiveness and Transmutation", as it is said that the flame has the power to transmute or transform all forms of "negative" or "lower" energies into positive energy, and this includes the power to transform our personal karma. I believe that the key to this transmutation is forgiveness.
First of all, what is karma? I don't see it as the strict "cause and effect" process, the idea that "what goes around, comes around". Certainly, there are laws of cause and effect like this that are at work in the universe, but I don't see karma in that light. I believe that our karma is that set of lessons that we chose to work on in this particular lifetime. To be sure, we may have chosen those lessons as result of realizing that, in a previous lifetime, we fell short of a goal that we had set. It is also possible that we chose a set of lessons simply because we have not yet had those experiences. Here is an example:
Lets say that I had lived many lives in which I had chosen wonderful, strong, beautiful bodies, and I used those bodies to enjoy my physical strength in every way. I had been a gladiator, a farmer, a construction worker, and an athlete. I reveled in my physical strength and grace, and learned many important lessons. However, I failed to develop a sense of compassion for those less fortunate, and this is a lesson that my soul felt ready to learn. When I am preparing to experience my next life, with the help of my guides, I realize that being in beautiful, strong, capable bodies becomes a hinderance to me. I focus too much on the physical, and neglect everything else. I am shown some possibilities for bodies in this lifetime, and I am shown one that is born healthy, but has a high probability of succumbing to an accident or illness in young adulthood, which leaves me disabled for the remainder of my physical life. I am not being "punished" for anything; rather, I see this as an excellent opportunity to learn compassion for others. It is not a "given", of course, that I will learn those lessons. Once I am in my physical life, I may instead become angry and embittered over what has happened to me, falling short of the learning goals I had set for myself, but I will have opportunity after opportunity to learn those lessons in future lives. It is also not a "given" that the body I chose will become disabled. It may be that before that event is set in motion, other circumstances have transpired that have allowed me to develop compassion for others, and so now my soul does not need that experience of physical disability. There are many ways in which we can learn the lessons that our souls wish to learn.
It is the grace of God which assists us in forgiveness
is that spark or flame of God-Consciousness, the aspect of us which is Divine, the avenue through which we ...chose to forego It is the tool of transmutation, the tool that the ancient alchemists sought ... forgiveness and transmutation ...is the flame of the Holy Spirit within our hearts.
Reiki healing complements traditional medicine. Everyone is able to benefit from it. However, I am not a doctor, nor a health care professional of any kind. Reiki healing should not be construed as the practice of medicine. Although it is my sincere hope and prayer that you will receive the healing that you desire, no specific outcomes can be predicted or guaranteed. If you are experiencing physical or psychological problems, you should seek medical attention. If you are already under the care of a physician, you should continue to follow your treatment plan as prescribed.
